A Typical Routine Service Would include:
Grease up all grease points including axles and PTO shaft
Oil the drive chains
Check the condition of the belly, auger and end plates
Check the condition of the PTO shaft and guards
Check that the shearbolt in the PTO shaft is the correct size and grade for the feeder model
Check rotor and auger shafts are locked securely on the bearing grub screws
Check sprocket alignments are within a 6mm tolerance
Check condition of bearing domes and replace if necessary
Check rotor sprocket bolts, stubshaft and bearing bolts, etc. are all tight and haven't worked loose
Check weighing is working and weighing correctly
Check weighbar bolts are intact
Check condition of vfc door rams
Check handbrake is working and make sure the brakes engage and release freely
Check condition of light pods
Check hitch condition
Check condition of chassis and axles, make sure it's free from deformation, cracks and serious corrosion
Check condition of tyres and tyre walls
Check shearbolts in the rack
Check condition of sump oil and replace if necessary
Check Shearbolt and fill rack
Check condition of VFC door/guillotine door
Check condition of VFC door tabs & catches/end guides/guillotine door guides
Check condition and operation of bale handler creel if applicable
Check condition of tines and tine buffers if applicable, set tine to top knife gaps if necessary
Check for play in all bearings
Check condition of rotor seals
Check auto-oiler is functioning okay if applicable and the condition of oiler brushes
Check condition of belly blades, top knives & serrated edges
Check condition of paddle rubbers & retainers
Check condition of chains and links, replace any damaged cranked or joiner links if necessary
Check condition of hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings
Check tray and tray linkage conditions
Check feedout door condition/feedout rubber condition
Check auger flighting condition
Check the condition of stepped collar slide flat bars, they may need re-welding to the bottom of the auger
Check wheel stud and wheel nuts condition, and make sure they are torqued up
Check condition of VFC Door indicator and wire rope
